A dream comes full circle

​As a young girl, some of my most cherished memories were spent boutique shopping in Dallas with my grandmother and my mother. The shops were more than just places to shop; they were warm, welcoming spaces where we could relax, sip coffee or soda, and talk about life, love, and of course, fashion. The owners knew us by name, and every visit felt like an extension of family. They helped me find the perfect outfits for each special occasion and everyday life, and in doing so, nurtured a lifelong love for fashion and personal style.

Inspired by those moments, I went on to Baylor University where I majored in fashion design and merchandising. My dream was always to own my own boutique and work as a buyer. After college, I managed large department stores and women's specialty shops, immersing myself in the industry. However as life often does, my priorities shifted when I started a family, so I became an art teacher at their private school, a role I cherished for 27 years.

Though my dream of owning a boutique was put on hold, I didn't let go of my passion for creativity. As a full-time teacher and artist, I started a side hustle—Sincerely Yours Pottery and Art.  Through word of mouth, I sold my handmade pottery, which eventually found its way into a small space in downtown Farmersville. One shelf of pottery soon turned into one little rack of dresses  and then another and another. It soon dawned on me that my dream of a boutique might still be within reach.​

Over the past few years, I reinvested my earnings back into the shop, expanding inventory and refining the concept. What started as a modest collection of handmade pottery and a few select fashion pieces has now blossomed into a curated collection of timeless styles,  local art, and, of course, handmade pottery.

​

As I reflect on those Saturdays spent shopping with my mom and grandmother, I am reminded that this shop isn't just about selling goods—it’s about the people, the connections, and the memories that come with each visit. Just as they had me in mind all those years ago, I now have you in mind every day as I carefully select each piece for the shop.
